Blogs can be about anything, from people's personal opinions to a personal daily life (if your really social)
Blogs can be an advantage to people because it is a way of communicating to a certain target audience that likes the subject they are blogging about such as a business posting news, it is an easy alternative to a website which takes time to create however a blog takes less time and blogs can give off the personality of the business.
